Here's a first attempt at a slightly more complex "monster" in Illustrator. He seems irritated, no? Oh well, at least it's progress.

Here's a sketch of a warped Amy Winehouse. By using the warp and bloat tools I was able to make her look even more like a horse. Sorry about the sketchy lines, for some reason Photoshop wasn't letting me clean them up.

A Giraffe...

I guess we're supposed to upload our giraffe images in progress. Above is the preliminary drawing/sketch and below is the value layer of the piece. I'll post more as I go along.

A monster mash?

For the second blog assignment we were required to design/create a "monster" utilizing tools and skills learned in class. Naturally I chose to illustrate something that seems to be plaguing me lately--The Dust Bunny. What with classes, work and running around I've barely had any time to clean...(not that I'm too good about keeping my room clean anyway.) The thing's a little bit creepier than I had anticipated but I find it relatively amusing so I suppose that's all that matters. Oh well, on to other things.
